How to set the time server with the on-phone user interface

  1. Unplug the phone power cord and plug it in again. The screen says Welcome, 12 seconds to reboot.
  2. Press the soft key labeled Setup. The screen says Enter password:
  3. Press keys 4, 5, 6, then the soft key labeled OK.
  4. Scroll down to the line labeled SNTP Address, and press the soft key labeled Edit. Press the soft key labeled a->1A to get into numeric input mode.
  5. Enter the IP address 198.247.173.220, then press the soft key labeled OK.
  6. The screen highlight moves to a line labeled GMT Offset: This is where you set your time zone. The value is in hours. Press the left and right arrows to set it. I am in US Central Time, which is GMT-6, so I pressed the left arrow repeatedly until the value read -6, then pressed the soft key labeled OK.
  7. Press the soft key labeled Exit repeatedly until you see a screen that says Exit Option.
  8. Highlight the option labeled Save & Reboot, and press the soft key labeled Select.
  9. The screen says Uploading log file, and if all goes well after a few seconds it will reboot. A couple of minutes later the screen says Welcome, then with any luck shows the right date and time.
